An oblique view wall map of the Mackenzie Basin has now been added to the online catalogue.

Another addition to the catalogue, this wall map is now available and can be browsed online. It is an orthographic oblique projection, skinny portrait aspect, and sized to print 2300mm high by 765mm wide.

A new map has been added to the catalogue and can be checked out online under the Wall Maps tab. The map is centred on Taranaki Maunga and covers Te Papa-Kura-o-Taranaki (known until recently as Egmont National Park) together with the surrounding area.

A new wall map added today. Portrait in aspect, centred on Wānaka with a conventional plan NZTM projection, targeting outdoor opportunities for independent recreationalists and adventurers. Ideal for reliving past trips or planning new ones.

A new addition to the catalogue is an oblique view map of the mid-Canterbury high-country in and around the Ashburton Lakes, including the Arrowsmiths and headwaters of the Rangitata and Rakaia Rivers.

There have been numerous enquires for a map or maps showing the whereabouts all of the backcountry huts under DOC management. It proved quite a challenge as I was determined to label each with the hut name rather than some shorthand identifier. And it wasn’t so much the number of huts that was an issue,

Announcing that these are in an advanced state of preparation and will shortly be published. Each map will feature the backcountry huts managed by the Department of Conservation, referenced also to the relevant Topo50 mapsheet published by LINZ. Watch this space for an update.

Another new wall map published today, this one an oblique orthographic projection that shows the headwaters of major river catchments including the Whataroa, Rangitata, Wanganui, Rakaia, Waitaha, Mikonui, Hokitika, Arahura, Waimakariri and Taramakau.
